Position Summary

Liberty Boat Group is seeking a Director of Marketing and Customer Experience to lead marketing strategy, customer engagement, and member experience across its Freedom Boat Club territories. Reporting to the Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, this role will help connect marketing, sales, member experience, brand execution, and revenue growth.


The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on marketing leader who understands how to build strong customer relationships, use data and insights to inform decisions, and create memorable experiences that support retention, referrals, upgrades, and long-term member value.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the master brand plan in partnership with the Fractional Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Lead marketing strategy, campaign planning, execution, and budget oversight.
  • Own and strengthen the end-to-end member experience strategy.
  • Use customer insights, NPS data, satisfaction scores, and usage trends to improve programming, engagement, and retention.
  • Ensure brand consistency across physical locations, digital platforms, events, campaigns, and member communications.
  • Partner with sales and leadership teams on product positioning, pricing strategy, promotional offers, and customer messaging.
  • Connect member touchpoints to revenue opportunities, including referrals, upgrades, renewals, and retention.
  • Lead and support marketing and member experience team members, including brand marketing, member events, Sea Sisters, Freedom Anglers, and external marketing partners.
  • Manage external creative, digital marketing, project management, and agency partners.
  • Evaluate current marketing and member experience processes and recommend improvements that support efficiency, consistency, and growth.


Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing, customer experience, member experience, account management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience, including coaching, development, and accountability.
  • Experience in subscription-based models, hospitality, lifestyle brands, membership-based businesses, marine clubs, recreation, or service-oriented environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, campaign execution, brand management, customer engagement, and retention.
  • Experience using customer data, satisfaction scores, usage trends, CRM systems, and marketing tools to guide strategy and measure results.
  • Ability to lead across multiple locations, markets, teams, and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, creative partners, and outside consultants.
  • Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Comfortable in a growth-oriented environment where the organization, team structure, and processes are evolving.
