Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations will oversee the operational infrastructure of the company and work directly alongside the CEO to drive execution across engineering operations, implementation, systems management, financial coordination, vendor oversight, and internal operations.
This role will manage cross-functional operations and help establish the systems, accountability structures, and operational rigor necessary to scale efficiently. The ideal candidate is a highly organized operator with experience supporting fast-paced technology startups and a strong understanding of AI-enabled workflows and operational tooling.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Operations & Team Leadership
- Partner closely with executive leadership on company strategy and operational execution
- Manage internal operational rhythms including leadership meetings, reporting cadences, and organizational accountability systems
- Oversee operations and implementation team members while helping scale internal infrastructure
Engineering & Delivery Operations
- Coordinate engineering delivery processes including sprint management, timelines, QA workflows, and execution reporting
- Manage relationships with external contractors and technical vendors
- Ensure cross-functional alignment between product, engineering, and operational priorities
Partner Implementation & Customer Delivery
- Oversee onboarding and implementation processes for institutional and enterprise partners
- Manage project timelines, milestone tracking, and delivery communication
- Serve as a central operational point of accountability across active customer engagements
AI Operations & Internal Systems
- Build and optimize internal operational systems using AI tools, automation platforms, and no-code/low-code technologies
- Improve operational efficiency through workflow automation and dashboard/reporting systems
- Maintain operational quality standards across internal and external deliverables
Financial, Vendor & People Operations
- Partner with external finance and accounting resources on reporting and operational forecasting
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes, internal team operations, and vendor management
- Assist with compliance, documentation, and operational process development
Executive Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Produce executive-level reporting on delivery status, operational priorities, risks, and blockers
- Coordinate closely with growth and partnership teams to align operational capacity with business demand
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of operations leadership experience within a startup or high-growth technology environment
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional operational initiatives
- Strong project management and delivery ownership experience
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools and workflow automation platforms in day-to-day operations
- Familiarity working alongside engineering teams and understanding technical workflows
- Experience building operational systems, reporting structures, and process documentation
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments
- Experience in SaaS, EdTech, HealthTech, or enterprise technology environments preferred
Preferred
- Experience supporting enterprise or higher education customers
- Familiarity with compliance or security documentation workflows
- Based in or near Los Angeles preferred, though exceptional remote candidates may be considered
