Junior Merchandiser DTC Flagships

YOUR MISSION:
- Ensure product range and all decisions deliver on strategic vision for the brand and category while delivering against the business plan,
- Assist in preparing and interpreting sales data in order to provide and execute against resultant recommendations and actionable strategies,
- Collaborate with DTC Planning, Ecommerce, and Operations team members to execute seasonal plans and store experience,
- Provide data and ensure accuracy of all product related materials to Merchandising Operations, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Global Merchandising teams,
- Assist in providing business updates on Retail business at weekly and monthly meetings including strengths, weaknesses, and actions to move forward,
- Partner with DTC Marketing and Visual Teams to ensure assortment is supported as planned,
- Support DTC Merchandising team in all responsibilities including but not limited to visual line plans, forecasting, entering orders, setting up product, tracking deliveries, creating presentations, and preparing for meetings,
- Work with Ecommerce Merchandising team to manage proper placement of assortments, per brand initiatives,
- Partner closely with outside vendors to ensure process and product delivery is timely and up to PUMA quality standards,
- Visit stores, monitor competition websites and be in market consistently,
- Understand competitive environments and conduct ongoing market research focusing on consumer purchasing habits, competitive programs and customer developments.
- 0-2 years of experience in Merchandising or Buying in either a Wholesale or Retail organization or equivalent,
- Strong organizational and time management skills,
- Demonstrates effective communication,
- Detail oriented with analytical strengths,
- Demonstrates ability to establish an independent view and contribute to decision-making forums,
- Knowledge of retail math and key performance indicators including sell thru, markup, gross margin, discounting, and open to buy,
- Ability to develop and create new thoughts and ideas pertaining to the presentation of products,
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point; highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite,
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (International & Domestic).
