The Impact You Will Make

The Human Resources Coordinator provides day‑to‑day administrative and operational support to the HR function at a 400+ employee, non‑union manufacturing site in Northridge, CA. This role is on-site and is not eligible to be performed as a remote position. This role supports employee lifecycle processes, ensures compliance with company policies and California employment laws, and serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.


Roles Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Support core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and job changes
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS (e.g., Dayforce)
  • Process personnel transactions and support documentation management
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate.

Employee Support & Communication

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR programs.
  • Maintain employee locker data, to include locker/lock assignment, bulletin boards, and HR communication boards
  • Update and manage content on the site’s TV monitors and communication displays
  • Participate as a member of the One Kind Community (employee engagement initiatives)
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and site communications
  • Support managers with administrative HR needs and follow-up items.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruiting activities in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Team, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.
  • Facilitate onboarding activities, including new hire orientation, new hire paperwork, and orientation logistics
  • Ensure timely completion of compliance documentation (I‑9s, background checks, etc.)

Compliance & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain employee electronic files and documentation in accordance with California labor laws and company standards
  • Process and respond to EDD (Employment Development Department) notices.
  • Maintain the location’s job description repository
  • Support audits and compliance reviews (internal and external)
  • Assist in tracking and processing leaves of absence, accommodation, and required reporting.

Compensation, Benefits & Timekeeping Support

  • Provide administrative support for payroll, timekeeping, and benefit processes
  • Assist employees with benefit inquiries and enrollment support
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of HR‑related transactions
  • Maintain and update Dayforce employee assigned work schedules
  • Support payroll processes and ensure timely submission of required updates

Employee Relations Support

  • Assist Sr HR Business Partner and HRD with documentation related to disciplinary actions, investigations, and performance management
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times
  • Timely and accurate submittal of termination notifications to all required departments and coordination of offboarding activities.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of HR administrative or coordinator experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Experience supporting mid-to-large employee populations (200+ preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and HR practices
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
