Role Description The Data Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) is a part-time role focused on supporting the firm’s investment research and decision-making through structured data analysis. On a day-to-day basis, this role will collect, clean, and organize financial and market data from various internal and external sources. The analyst will build basic data models, generate summary statistics, and create clear visualizations or dashboards to highlight trends and patterns. The role will also involve preparing concise analysis summaries and data-driven insights for senior team members, supporting investment theses and monitoring portfolio performance. As this is a fully remote position, the analyst is expected to manage time effectively, communicate proactively, and collaborate with colleagues via virtual tools.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and foundational data analytics abilities to interpret datasets and draw meaningful insights.
- Understanding of statistics and basic data modeling concepts to support investment research and performance analysis.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus).
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy in data handling, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Interest in finance, investing, or capital markets; prior coursework or internships in related fields are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in a quantitative, business, economics, or related discipline is preferred but not strictly required with equivalent experience.
